REVIVING THE BEAUTY + POWER OF TRADITIONAL BOTANICAL ARTS
The Flora Plant Studio School is a nod to the historical Still Rooms of the ancient great homes and castles, the predecessor of the apothecary. These were the sacred spaces where traditional botanical arts were practiced. Medicine, cosmetics & perfumes, incense & dyes for the household were all crafted here. Medicinal, aromatic and dye plants were
cultivated and gathered based on seasonal rhythms and deep connections to the natural world. Leaves, flowers, roots, bark and seeds were dried, preserved, brewed and distilled. The Flora Studio School is reviving the beauty and power of these traditional arts and reclaiming the feminine wisdom they embody. We offer individual classes, multi-session seasonal workshops, as well as private parties in all facets of plant based arts and crafts. Our courses seek to inspire creativity and elucidate the relationships between plants, art/craft and culture, and to support deepening connection between ourselves and the natural world.
